Early this summer The Green Tortoise pulled up to the school. Embarking on a celebratory and much awaited 8th grade trip, Thea and her classmates climbed aboard. The week long event was to take them for a closer and more experiential look at California. They went to sea kayaking in Monterey Bay,toured the Hurst castle, played in San Luis Obispo, toured the Channel Islands, surfed at Huntington beach and river rafted the Kern river. Even the chaperones looked happy after this trip.
